Ways to Reconnect
- Find a new hobby that interests both individuals. Whether it’s ballroom dancing, mountain biking or bingo, sharing a new interest will bring couples closer together and give them a mutual passion.
- Plan a mini-honeymoon! Schedule a few nights at an intimate bed and breakfast or, if money is tight, plan a weekend camping trip. The time away can be very beneficial to a couple—whether you’ve been married six months or six weeks. This can be particularly good for couples who miss the planning and excitement over their wedding day and honeymoon, by giving them a reason to re-focus and plan their next adventure together.
- Have an anniversary dinner and invite some close friends and family over to celebrate. Couples don’t need to wait until they’ve been married a year…why not celebrate the first month of marriage? This time can be used to share memories of the celebration, as well as wedding and honeymoon photos.
